ABOUT US

01 Our Goal

Created on March 21st 2011, Valley SPCA La Vallée inc. is a non profit organization as specified in the New Brunswick company act. Our goal was to open an animal shelter to serve the Northwestern region of New Brunswick. We are currently taking part in activities linked to animal welfare and are collecting funds to maintain our goal.

02 Our Mission

The Valley SPCA La Vallée is dedicated to the protection of abandoned and stray animals in our region, the prevention of cruelty to animals and to providing the necessary support to families in order to promote a relationship of empathy, confidence, and respect with their animal companions.

03 Our Vision

The Valley SPCA La Vallée aims to be a community leader in animal rights, both in terms of reducing the number of animals that require their services as well as educating the public.

Our History

Founded in March 2011 by a group of volunteers that had the welfare of abandoned and neglected animals at heart, the Valley SPCA La Vallée is a non-profit organization that aims to open and maintain a shelter for abandoned and neglected animals in northwestern NB.

The Valley SPCA La Vallée has been involved in several regional activities throughout the community to raise funds and awareness for animal rights.

In the fall of 2013, a temporary shelter was set up with the collaboration of a local entrepreneur, to provide much needed care for abandoned and neglected animals in our region during the winter season. It was in 2015 that we acquired a more permanent building to service the community.

Through fundraising efforts, sponsorship, and a grant from the government, more renovations to the building were done in the summer and fall of 2016 to make our shelter fully functional, therefore accepting both cats and dogs.

Since the start of our operations, we have helped more than 1500 animals find shelter and a new loving home.
