OUR GOAL

Created on March 21st, 2011, Valley SPCA La Vallée inc. is a nonprofit organization as specified in the New Brunswick company act. Our goal was to open an animal shelter to serve the Northwestern region of New Brunswick. We are currently taking part in activities linked to animal welfare and are collecting funds to maintain our goal.

HISTORY

Valley SPCA La Vallée Inc. is a charitable organization founded on March 21, 2011, by a group of volunteers motivated by the desire to improve the lives of abandoned and neglected animals in the region.

From the outset, the organization set out to establish a shelter to meet the growing needs for animal protection in northwestern New Brunswick. In 2013, with the collaboration of a local entrepreneur, a temporary shelter was set up to provide essential care for animals during the winter months.

A major milestone was reached in 2015 with the acquisition of a permanent building, allowing Valley SPCA to consolidate its operations. Renovations carried out in 2016, made possible through fundraising efforts, partnerships, and government support, enabled the shelter to become fully operational and to accommodate both cats and dogs.

Since beginning operations, Valley SPCA has provided refuge and a second chance to more than 2,000 animals, demonstrating its concrete impact in the community.

Today, the organization continues to grow, drawing on the dedication of its volunteers, team, and partners, while remaining an essential community presence for residents of Victoria and Madawaska counties.
