ADOPTIONS

Are you looking to add a new companion to your family? We invite you to view our albums, where you'll find the available animals in the care of the Valley SPCA that are waiting for a permanent home.

Every animal has been examined, has received its first vaccines, is dewormed and treated for external parasites (fleas, mites), and has, when age permits, been spayed / neutered.

All of our animals are microchipped before leaving the shelter for their new home.

Adoptable Dogs

When the dog is unable to get spayed or neutered while in our care, a $75 refund will be issued upon submission of proof of sterilization performed by a certified veterinarian.

Please speak with the Valley SPCA for additional information or if you wish to adopt one of these furry friends!

  • Adult Large Breed: $400
  • Adult Small Breed: $500
  • Puppy under 7 months of age: $500

TEDDY

Teddy is a sweet boy who absolutely loves attention. His favorite thing in the world is being around people and soaking up all the pets he can get. If you’re looking for a dog who enjoys companionship and affection, Teddy may be the perfect match for you.

Teddy is also a big fan of mealtime and eats very enthusiastically, so he will need a slow feeder bowl to help him pace himself.

Because Teddy has shown a prey drive toward cats, he will need to go to a cat-free home.

Teddy has previously lived with other dogs, so we believe he may do well with a canine companion. However, we always recommend a meet-and-greet with your dog to make sure everyone gets along.

DOLLY

Dolly is a 2-year-old chocolate Lab mix with a big personality and an even bigger love for people  She absolutely adores human attention and will happily soak up all the pets and cuddles you can give!

This sweet girl has lots of energy and would thrive in an active home that can help her stay on track with a healthy diet and regular exercise. She’s ready to be your adventure buddy!

Dolly would do best in a home without cats or farm animals, as she has a strong prey drive. She doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter, though!

JESSIE

INFORMATION:

  • Female
  • Born: April 18, 2025
  • Short hair

JESSIE'S STORY:

Jessie arrived at the shelter on August 8th, 2025, and Brock followed on August 13th, 2025. Jessie came in on her own, while Brock arrived with five other kittens. Both were very shy and unsure around people at first.

One day, a kind man visited the shelter hoping to foster, and we knew Brock and Jessie would be a perfect match. They needed a calm home where they could learn that people can be gentle and loving. He welcomed them into his home, and over the next three months, they made incredible progress.

Day by day, they grew braver — going from hiding away to seeking out pets and affection. Because they share such similar temperaments, they formed a strong bond and have become very close companions.

For that reason, we would love to see them adopted together so they can continue their journey side by side.

BONDED with Brock - Must be adopted together!

AURORA

INFORMATION:

  • Female
  • Born: November 19, 2024
  • Short hair

AURORA'S STORY:

Aurora was brought to us on November 19, 2025, and she’s been on quite the journey since then. For a while, she struggled with ongoing diarrhea, but after several tests and treatments, everything has come back negative—great news!

To keep her feeling her best, Aurora will need to stay on a specific diet that helps keep her tummy happy and her stool solid.

Aurora would do best in a home without dogs. She currently tolerates the other cats here at the shelter, but a calm environment will help her continue to thrive.

Don’t let her story fool you—Aurora is full of life! She loves to play and has lots of energy to burn

MISTY

INFORMATION:

  • Female
  • Born: May 13, 2025
  • Short hair

MISTY'S STORY:

Misty came into our care with May and 4 other kittens on August 13th, 2025. We discovered that they never met people before so they were very scared. We felt that placing her in a foster home would be in her best interest, so she went with May in the same foster home.

Misty was very shy when she first arrived at her foster home. With time, love, chicken, and treats, she came out of her shell. She loves playing with other cats. She enjoys being petted and purrs, even if she's not entirely sure she's doing it. She's still a little shy and will need a family who can give her some time to understand that she's safe and can be herself. She doesn't like being picked up, but she'll happily accept being petted and playing with you

NEILLIE

INFORMATION:

  • Female
  • Born: April 22, 2022
  • Short hair

NEILLIE'S STORY:

Nellie was brought to us on April 1st, 2026 with a large wound on her neck. We contacted the vet right away for treatment. Her neck had to be shaved and she was started on antibiotics to help with healing. Along with her medication, Nellie received hydrotherapy twice daily until her wound fully cleared up.

We’re happy to say her neck has healed beautifully and she is now ready for adoption!

About Nellie: she can tolerate cats around her, but if they get a little too much in her personal bubble, she’ll definitely let them know  As for dogs, we aren’t sure how she feels about them at the moment.

HEAVEN

INFORMATION:

  • Female
  • Born: October 23, 2022
  • Short hair

HEAVEN'S STORY:

Heaven is a beautiful 3.5-year-old tortoiseshell looking for a calm and loving forever home. She was previously adopted, but sadly returned because she became too nervous around young children. Because of this, Heaven would do best in a quieter home with older children or adults only.

Heaven absolutely loves being pet and enjoys getting attention from people she trusts. She also gets along well with the other cats here at the shelter.

If you think Heaven could be the perfect fit for your home, come meet this sweet girl!

JUPETTE

INFORMATION:

  • Female
  • Born: January 30, 2024
  • Long hair

JUPETTE'S STORY:

Miss Jupette arrived at the shelter on January 30, 2026. She was one of 10 cats that were rescued from a colony in Edmundston.

She gave birth to 8 kittens, however unfortunately 2 kittens passed away when she was struggling to give birth to her last 3 kittens. She was rushed to the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic for a c-section where she later stayed for a week with her kittens to help with nursing and bottle feeding.

Jupette is a soft, sweet and shy cat (will warm up to you once she gets to know you). She is currently being fostered by a sweet and kind family. She also love treats.  All of her kittens have pending adoptions. This lovely cat has gone through so much, let’s help her find her forever home.

SIEERA

INFORMATION:

  • Female
  • Born: May 1, 2024
  • Short hair

SIERRA'S STORY:

Sierra was brought to us on April 29th, 2026. She was a very shy girl and unsure of people at first, but after a few weeks of socializing, she has improved so much!

Sierra will need a home with older children, as she can still get nervous in busy environments. Once she feels comfortable, she absolutely loves being petted and getting attention. She also gets along well with the cats here at the shelter.

As for dogs, she has not been tested with them yet, so we can’t say how she would do at the moment.

KNOX

INFORMATION:

  • Male
  • Born: March 1, 2015
  • Short hair

KNOX'S STORY:

Knox came to us on April 5th, 2026, feeling very scared and unsure of people. Since then, we’ve been giving him the time and care he needs to start feeling safe

When he arrived, we noticed he was missing fur around his neck, which may leave a permanent scar. He also has some frostbite on his ears—little reminders of what he’s been through.

We estimate Knox to be around 10 years old, maybe even a bit more. Despite everything, he is such a sweet soul. And those big “owl” eyes? They’ll melt your heart

Knox is looking for a calm, loving home where he can truly relax and be himself.
