WAYS YOU CAN HELP

Volunteers are always much needed in order for our organization to run smoothly. Not only do we need people in helping out at the shelter with the animals, we are always looking for individuals interested in promoting the cause and raising awareness, and to help out with our fundraisers and current events.

If you are interested in volunteering, we invite you to fill out our Volunteer Registration Form and send it back to us at info@valleyspcalavallee.com, or it can be also be brought to us in person at the shelter. Please specify what kind of volunteer work you would be interested in.

Thousands of animals are abandoned and mistreated in NB each year. Your support as a member ensures support the shelter, administration, safety, protection and care for the animals; we can create a community where all animals are treated with respect, care, and compassion! It is also one of the best ways to stay updated on the happenings of the Valley SPCA la Vallée Inc.

Members help direct the mission, vision and activities of the organization through the election of volunteer leaders. Members are entitled to attend and vote at the general meetings of the Valley SPCA La Vallée inc. members are also eligible to hold office on the board of directors. And most importantly the ongoing work of the organization with homeless and abandoned animals in our region.

The reality of operating a shelter remains that monetary funds will always be needed. Donations can be mailed out, brought directly to the shelter, by etransfer or you can donate now through PayPal. We also invite you to check out our wish list for common items that are always in need.

We want to thank you for your generosity, as this project would have not become a reality without the help of our supporters.   

Not everyone has time to come and take care of the animals, but there are still some ways to lend a hand, some which do not cost money too. Here are different ways you can help us out:

• Post on social media about the importance to spay and neuter your animal
  
• Collect bottles from family and friends to raise funds
  
• Donate household items such as cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, towels, toilet paper, etc. (see our wishlist!)
  
• Ask for pet food and supplies as birthday presents
  
• Make crafts which we can then sell at local events
  
• Give a monetary donation in honor of your guests in lieu of wedding favors 
  
• Donate in memory of a loved one who had our cause at heart
  
• Purchase Royal Canin pet food at our shelter
  

It must also be kept in mind that we cannot always take all the animals in need in our care. In such event, with the winter season upon us, if you know of a stray cat wandering in your surroundings, we invite you to build a temporary shelter until we may be able to take it in. 

We can also provide help at local events by finding volunteers for a donation. We have done this type of thing in the past, such as providing volunteers to help with concerts, barbecues, wedding,local celebrity roast event, etc.
